Inicio, a pioneering job discovery platform, leverages AI to connect individuals with careers tailored to their interests and qualifications. Aimed at students and those seeking a career change, Inicio provides insightful, personalized job recommendations and practical interview preparation.

The Challenge

Our mission was to design an intuitive and engaging user experience for Inicio that resonates with the app's innovative core. The challenge was to harness the complex capabilities of the ChatGPT API into an accessible and engaging user interface, making the AI-driven job discovery process interactive and user-friendly. The goal was to create a conversational UI that facilitates dynamic dialogue, crafting a platform that acts as a virtual career advisor rather than a standard questionnaire.

Our Approach

We embarked on a discovery call to lay the groundwork for detailed user flow creation, ensuring the app's journey would be intuitive from the start. Once the flows were approved, we proceeded to develop wireframes, laying a solid foundation for the user experience. Subsequently, we crafted a UI that was not only visually appealing but also representative of Inicio's brand ethos.

Our UI design was constructed on a bespoke design system, ensuring a cohesive and consistent experience throughout the app while allowing for future scalability. This design system was pivotal for maintaining brand consistency and enhancing the user interface with intuitive elements, contributing to a seamless AI-driven job matching experience.

Each app feature was meticulously designed with the user's journey in mind, from the initial questionnaires feeding into the AI algorithms to the swipeable job voting interface, reminiscent of popular dating apps, which adds a familiar and interactive aspect to job searching. Premium features, such as in-depth job insights and interview practice questions, were strategically placed behind a paywall, adding substantial value and creating a revenue stream for Inicio.

With the integration of the ChatGPT API, we focused on creating a conversational UI that encourages users to interact naturally with the app. The intuitive design of the question and answer format invites users to provide detailed, nuanced responses, enabling Inicio's AI to generate finely tuned job recommendations.

The culmination of our design is a seamless experience where users can effortlessly navigate between learning about potential careers, practicing for interviews, and managing their account details, all while engaging with a community through a referral system. Our design facilitates a journey of self-discovery and professional development, while subtly and effectively interweaving monetization aspects.
